A major component of our youth development program will be basketball through our Walking in the Way basketball program.
Walking in the Way will provide young people with opportunities to:
Develop basketball skills and athletic ability
Learn discipline, teamwork, and accountability
Build confidence and leadership skills
Develop healthy relationships with coaches and teammates
Learn how to handle success, failure, competition, and adversity
Participate in organized practices, training, tournaments, and community activities
Create positive connections with mentors and other youth
Develop a sense of belonging and family through team participation
We believe athletics can be much more than competition. Walking in the Way basketball will serve as a platform for mentorship, character development, physical wellness, leadership, and positive community engagement.
